Overview

Loomi is mission control for hotel guest experience. It pulls data from rooms, environmental sensors, wearables, and smart devices—then presents it through a dashboard that's actually useful.

I handled product strategy, information architecture, and interface design to make sense of complex hospitality data and turn it into something managers can act on.

The Challenge

Too Much Data

Multiple data streams from rooms, sensors, wearables, and devices needed to be synthesized into something a manager could understand in seconds, not minutes.

Different Users, Different Needs

Hotel managers care about guest satisfaction. Engineers care about device health. Wellness coordinators care about sleep metrics. The dashboard needed to serve all three.

Real-Time Without Chaos

Live data is great until it becomes noise. The system needed to handle dozens of real-time streams without overwhelming users or slowing down.

Making Wellness Matter

Sleep science and wellness data is only valuable if it actually influences decisions. The interface needed to make the connection between data and action obvious.

Strategic Approach

1

Hierarchy That Makes Sense

Start with high-level property health, then drill down to specific rooms or issues. Managers can scan everything or dive deep without getting lost.

2

Visual Language

Color-coded status, real-time charts, and trend lines make patterns obvious. Sleep scores, environmental metrics, and device health are instantly readable.

3

Wearable Integration

Pull data from Apple Watch, Oura Ring, and other wearables. Normalize different formats into consistent sleep analytics that correlate with room conditions.

4

Built in Seven Parts

Room dashboard. Metrics. CRM. Sleep reports. Events. Messages. Settings. Each module focuses on one job. Together they cover the full workflow without overlapping.

Key Outcomes

Real-Time Room Monitoring

All rooms in one view with live updates. Spot issues and respond immediately.

Complete Workflow Coverage

Seven integrated modules cover everything from operations to guest wellness. No more juggling multiple tools.

Unified Wearable Data

Aggregate Apple Watch, Oura, and other wearables into consistent sleep analytics that actually mean something.

Modern Interface

Glassmorphism design with dark/light modes. Looks good, works better.

Key Takeaways

Not all data deserves equal space on a dashboard. Good information architecture shows the right thing at the right time.

Real-time systems need smart filtering. Surface critical changes, hide the noise.

Sleep science creates competitive advantage in hospitality tech—when you connect technical metrics to guest outcomes.
